pre-arranged marriages that used to happen (they still do in some
places, no??) in China, and at one point the documentary said that
there were also men who married many women (as many as they could
afford) – nothing new.
What I found amusing (and horrible at the same time) was how a certain
ancient chinese thinker (don’t ask me who) created a metaphor to
justify and defend male poligamy: according to him, men are teapots,
and women, teacups. One teapot can fill many teacups, but what’s the
use of having many teapots and only one teacup???
