Today’s the very first time I’m logging in since last time (which was what, December, right??) – and what a surprise, 74 views this week!!! Where did they all come from?? For a blog that hasn’t been updated in ages, that’s quite a lot of views…weird. Maybe the Windows Live counter is broken
I feel the need to write. Everything went wrong this week….absolutely everything. The only good thing that happened is that 2 of my friends came to "rescue" me at the right time, without me needing to ask for their help. Talk about good timing…and one of them isn’t even really my friend!! I had met her 3 times at uni, that’s all…and this week I met her inside the bus. Even if we don’t know each other, she was extremely nice and understood everything I said better than some other friends of mine would have, if I had told them about everything that’s been troubling me for the past year. That’s why I haven’t talked to any of them yet. It’s bad enough to tell someone what’s been going on, I don’t want to hear the "I told you sos" or any other type of judgement, you know?
Until very recently I used to think that writing about the bad stuff that happens to me was a good way to "exorcize" them, but now I’m not so sure anymore….maybe it just makes me dwell around those things and feel self-pity. To hell with that! It’s like my uncle said…when you visit someone who’s sick, you shouldn’t ask how they’re feeling. They’re OBVIOUSLY feeling sick! You shouldn’t talk about the sickness, because that’s all that person is living and it’s all they can think of! So, the best thing to do is talk about anything else for a change…I had never thought about this sort of thing, but ever since he told me that, I’ve been trying to follow that advice. Seems escapist? Sure it does, and it probably is…but I’m starting to think escapism is sometimes the best tool to deal with obstacles, bad situations, etc…
So, the only good news I have, after this horrible week, are:
 – I’m one step closer to getting my book published,
 – I helped a stray dog
 – I’m planning a trip I should have made a long time ago
 – I helped a friend
 – I lost 2 kilos and
 – the italian course is getting better and better, it’s a lot of fun (thankfully!!)
